Covid Policy

YOUR SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY

You may have noticed a few changes within our salon which have been implemented to ensure your safety, and that of our staff, which remains our top priority during these times.

We have updated our policies below so please familiarise yourself with these before each appointment as they may be subject to change.

BOOKING

In the case of government restrictions being placed upon our industry and Red Hare Salon having to close, we shall ensure any booking you have made for these dates will be kept on file, and we shall contact clients in a chronological order as soon as re-opening dates are announced.

As soon as those who lost their appointments have been contacted, our telephone lines will be re-opened and we shall start to take bookings again. Please do follow us on our social media channels for up-to-date information on this.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Our staff will be wearing face coverings to keep everyone safe and secure during their visit.
  • Our salon will be cleaned throughout the day and each workstation cleaned in-between appointments
  • Screens have been implemented between each station for your safety and comfort
  • Please consider wearing a face covering with elastic hooked behind your ears for your visit to the salon. While this is not mandatory we are working hard to continue to keep everyone safe during this pandemic.

BOOKING TIMES AND OPENING HOURS

  • Please come alone and do not bring guests, family members unless you have a carer or partner helping with health and mobility issues.
  • Please arrive just in time for your scheduled appointment
  • Opening times and opening hours may be changed due to restrictions, please keep an eye on our social media channels for the latest information.
  • Our primary method is still telephone bookings as it allows the fastest ‘back and forth’ with finding dates and will lead to you getting what you would like soonest.
  • Please avoid bringing unnecessary items such as large bags, shopping, coats/umbrellas unless absolutely necessary.

APPOINTMENT LENGTHS

We will be working hard to ensure that all our clients have a tailored and personalised experience and we can give you the very best results. This may mean due to the length of time between appointments and lots may have changed with your hair (especially hair colour, grown out styles and illness) that you may have slightly longer appointment times for you on your initial visits back to us.

The Red Hare Salon team will inform you of what is recommended for you and ensure your appointment time is tailored to you.

Due to cleaning guidelines in-between appointments we are also taking fewer appointments during our working day, however we are working hard to ensure we can see each of our clients as soon as possible.

SKIN TESTS

As of April 12, 2021, we will be re-testing all our clients as standard for any hair colour appointment.

You must organise a skin test prior to your appointment if:
  1. You have not had a colour appointment within six months or not had a skin test within the last year.
  2. If you have used a box-dye, henna treatment, skin tattoo or permanent make up since your last colour appointment.
  3. If you have suffered from an illness that has recently put your immune system under strain (Coronavirus is an example of this).
  4. Any illness that puts your immune system under strain may cause your body to overreact to colour services and you may need one if you have had the COVID-19 Vaccine.

YOUR OWN HEALTH

  • Have you had the recent onset of a new continuous cough?
  • Do you have a high temperature?
  • Have you noticed a loss of, or change in, normal sense of taste or smell?
  • If  you have answered yes to any of these symptoms, however mild, you must stay at home and reschedule your appointment in line with government guidelines.
To protect you, your fellow guests and our teams we reserve the right to reschedule any person attending with symptoms. Please notify us in advance and we’ll do our best to find you a new appointment as soon as possible.

PAYMENTS

We accept payment in both card and cash.

THANK YOU

We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of our clients for continuing to support us in what have been very difficult and unusual times.

We work hard to be a part of the community and give you all the very best experience on your visit, and appreciate your ongoing support as we move closer to a different kind of normal soon.
