Bee-rilliant colouring competition

Bee-rilliant colouring competition
Red Hare Salon launch colouring competition to help save the Bees!

All our clients know how much we love bees in Red Hare Salon - and we wanted to find a way to celebrate the amazing buzzing insects in a very special way this month.

We are on our own special mission to #BeeTheSolution and help save these magnificent creatures - because did you know that bee populations have been declining since the late 1990s - even though they pollinate 80% of all flowering plants, including almost all the crops we eat!?!

Which is why, with the help of our salon director, and resident artist Jo, we decided to run our very own Bee-rilliant colouring competition for all children to take part in.

Our stylists are already very bee-savvy, having saved a number that we have seen needing a bit of a helping hand after all their hard work - so we wanted to share the love and spread awareness for all our clients and children of all ages!

Not only do each of us carry a bee saving key ring, but we also now sell them in our salon! Costing just £10 the Bee Revival Kits from the company Revive a Bee enables us to save a tired thirsty bee whenever we spot them on our travels. What’s even better is that the kits also help us bee even kinder as they come with seed paper so we can all start growing more wild flowers!

Jo said: “Bees are so important to our environment and we want to help save as many bees as we can - one at a time! Which is why awareness for each and every one of us is so important, even from a small salon in Cleobury, we can all play our part.

“So many of our clients are parents and with it bee-ing the school holidays, we thought it would be a great idea to launch a colouring competition to win some of the kits! Not only that, but the winning painting with the buzzing bee theme will be displayed for all to see in our salon!”

Red Hare Salon’s bee-riliant competition runs until September 4, and is open to children in and around Shropshire and Worcestershire up to the ages of 12 years old.

Entries can either be dropped off or posted to Red Hare Salon at 45 High Street, Clobury Mortimer, Kidderminster, DY14 8DQ or emailed to redharesalon@yahoo.com

Make sure you include your full name, phone number and email address so we can contact you.

There will be five runners up in total and just one star prize of the artwork in the salon. They will be announced within the first week of September.
Please note we shall be using the pictures for our social channels and on our website.

The winner will also be entered into the Art for Planet exhbition which is touring Kiddermingster and Stourport in October.

Good luck everyone - we can’t wait to see the entries and are un-bee-lievably excited to see them all!
